Encapsulating the intricate web of manipulation and control woven by those who wield authority “Take a seat, just... Do not get so comfortable” unfolds in three rooms, each layer revealing a distinct facet of the human condition in between the machinations of power.
In the first section, a chessboard depicts a war-torn landscape, symbolizing the relentless struggle for dominance amid destruction. Militaries instead of paws covered in sunflowers, represent the resilience and hope facing adversity while puppeteer hands dictate their fate. Exposing the striking reality of individuals ensnared in a game they did not have any other choice than to play and manipulated by unseen forces for their own gain.
Transitioning to the second room, the solitary figure of a young girl sits in contemplation gazing out of the window into the desolate chessboard landscape with her back turned to the viewer. A chessboard beside her bed hints at the inescapable entanglement of her reality with the major scheme unfolding in front of her. A puppeteer's hand extends breaching the boundaries of her room symbolizing the unwelcome reach of control into even the most intimate spaces of our lives.
Finally, the third and closer layer welcomes the viewer to engage actively with the narrative. An open space reveals shaped with chessboard tiles, sunflowers and swirling clouds, inviting the viewer to take a seat on a red couch. However, this seemingly tranquil invitation is juxtaposed with a rain of bullets descending from above, urging the viewer to transcend passive observation and confront the reality of their role in the bigger picture.
" Take a seat, just... Do not get so comfortable " challenges the viewer to confront those forces that manipulate and exploit, urging them to stop being pawns in the hands of evil elites, to avoid complacency and choose their place in the unfolding narrative. They want to destroy us because it is just a game, but the price is our own life and while some watch in silence, others die. Choose your place, your position. Are you merely occupying a sit, or are you actively shaping the world?
